Today is a big day for the 25toLife collective! 25ToLife will be teaming up with Goodwill Canada to launch a very unique program called the LiveGood Project™. The LiveGood Project™ is an organic, grassroots partnership that will give youth across the GTA access to unique job opportunities within the creative sector (Fashion, Graphic Design, Photography, New Media, Music, Marketing). Goodwill’s mission to provide skills development for people facing barriers to employment was built from the ground up, much like 25toLife.
You may be eligible if you are:
- Between 15 and 29 years of age
- Not attending school full-time and
- A resident of Ontario.
We will make special effort to help youth facing barriers to work, including:
- Youth on social assistance
- Aboriginal youth
- Youth in communities with high youth unemployment.
For businesses willing to hire youth as interns or employees, Goodwill, through the Youth Employment Fund (YEF) will actually pay you for hiring them. To be eligible for hiring incentive funding, your business must:
- Be licensed to operate in Ontario
- Be compliant with legislation (health and safety, employment standards, etc.)
- Provide job placements of four to six months in Ontario, and be covered by safety insurance
- Provide job placements that do not displace current or laid-off employees.
