Toronto-based producers LordQuest and Junia-T have teamed up on the decks to form Chef’s Plate, an experimental project that has the hip-hop artists venturing into the realm of future bass. Their remix to Que’s “OG Bobby Johnson” is available now for free download, and is the first of many that will be released throughout the summer.
Jonathon “Junia-T” Lindo is an artist, producer and emcee from Mississauga, Ontario. In 2011 The Toronto Star rated him as one of their top 5 hip-hop artists of Toronto; and within that same year he won the freestyle battle on Much Music’s Rap City for 5 consecutive weeks. Currently Junia-T is in the studio working on his upcoming instrumental album, Pour, No Mix.
LordQuest is a Toronto-based artist and producer. In 2013 he released his first solo project as an emcee titled Still Shopping. The following year he gained recognition through his production placements on Talib Kweli’s Gravitas and ScHoolboy Q’s Oxymoron. Currently he’s in the studio working on his EP, which will be out late summer.
“Chef’s Plate is just a free expression of sounds and colors mixed into one,” said LordQuest.
“Some soulful ignorance for the summer,” said Junia-T.
