Charles Chizzy Stephens III is an upcoming producer located in Los Angeles. He has definitely made some noise this past year. Charles “Chizzy” Stephens III began his musical journey at six years old when his parents bought him his first Yamaha keyboard. The Augusta, Georgia native would continue his musical training learning to playthe trumpet, but it was the sounds of Dr. Dre and Master P that would inspire him to focus on the keyboard. In 2004, Chizzy created and produced for a rap group with three high school friends. He also used his talent to work with other burgeoning artists in the area. This talent eventually got him noticed by Grammy Award-winning producers Luis Resto (“Lose Yourself,” “Without Me”), Urban Kris (8 Mile Soundtrack, Eminem) and DJ Head (Devils Night, The Eminem Show). Chizzy later moved to Orlando Florida where he attended Full Sail University and majored in Recording Arts and Entertainment Business. This experience helped give him the opportunity to work alongside Poe Boy Entertainment, Plies, Rick Ross, Trick Daddy, Wes Fif and Nycole Valentina. His collaboration on Nycole’s debut album, “We Need to Talk,” helped land her on MTV’s TRL in 2008.
Currently residing in Los Angeles, to date Chizzy has had placements with major artists such as: Jordan Knight (“Kiss It Away”), Candice Glover (“Forever That Man”), Chris Brown (“Waiting”), (“I Can’t Win”), KPOP group B1A4 (“Ready To Go”), and Jennifer Lopez’s single (“Same Girl”).
