Sony UK has named Nicola Tuer as their new Chief Operating Officer. Just less than a week since Gatfield resigned and Sony UK is already making moves in the higher end. Tuer is said to make immediate effect, since Gatfield left.
Moreover, Tuer started in with Sony UK in 1995, where after a five-year stint in Sales; she was promoted to Director of Sales in 2000, then promoted again to VP of Sales in 2002. After Sony and BMG’s merger in 2005, she was named the Senior VP. In 2008 she was taking care of the commercial sales department. Since then, Tuer has held her Executive Vice President of UK and Ireland position since November 2011.
