How do you go from playing your first live show together as a band in January of this year at the Niagra in NYC, to playing tour dates in London and Paris, and opening for established heavy hitter Weezer? Just ask Brooklyn newcomers Public Access TV because that is exactly what 2014 has looked like for them so far.
With only a hand full of songs released by these guys, it’s amazing that they have accomplished so much in such a short period of time. Praised by NME as “New Yorks Hottest new band” and throwing around comparisons of The Strokes and Phoenix, I think it’s safe to say these guys have successfully made their mark on the ears of the listeners.
What’s even more interesting, is that these guys have played things off in such a coy manner, stating that they have no interest in following the template you’re suppose to follow to make it in the Big Apple. Even finding information as simple as a bio on these guys is difficult because they simply have not included it on any of their social media, in what seems to be a less is more tactic stirring up interest and wonderment, a strategy that as it stands seems to be paying off in spades for these guys.
Check out their music below and keep a look out for these guys in 2015!
