Previously featured here on The A&R Report, crooner Eddie Gomez is back with new music and we’re impressed! Since the release of his debut EP “NO” Eddies music has gone on to be featured by Apple (iWatch campaign), Coca- Cola, ABC, and Vh1 to name a few. His debut single “Someday” was even part of a compilation album, Ego FM 2, that boasted songs from the likes of John Ledgend, MGMT, and Gnarls Barkley.
With a more mature quality to his already silky vocals, we welcome Eddies new retro pop single “Nothing Like This Love”. Hooking us immediately with the soothing strum of his guitar and relatable lyrics, this simple yet impactful song builds to a bridge that swells with emotion. It seems that’s exactly what Eddie was going for as he explained that the song itself was inspired by Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrell. He went on to say “Sometimes keeping it simple can be the most impactful”. Wow, we couldn’t agree more!
When asked of his summer plans Eddie told us that there is definitely more music to come! You can also catch Eddie live in LA, on May 20th at The Avalon theater in Hollywood as part of the Jackie Boyz and Friends event to help raise awareness to breast cancer, on June 4th at LA Live, and July 16th at The Staples center (featured halftime performer LA Sparks WNBA game)
