Cadence is a singer/songwriter and the female sound of the West Coast. Her sound is heavily influenced by West Coast Hip Hop and mainstream R&B, giving her an edgy side to her R&B soul. Staying true to her roots, Cadence draws inspiration from the music she grew up to love and appreciate. Although she mostly associates her current sound as RnBass, her musical influences range from Gospel, Jazz, R&B, Hip Hop, Reggae, Zydeco, all the way to Country music.
Native to the Bay Area and the Stockton, California, Cadence is an individual who has learned so much from her environment. Living in the city of underdogs, Stockton has raised Cadence into an ambitious and hard working artist who uses her experiences to tell stories through her music. She believes that cities like her own, breed the deepest music that speaks to the masses.
Her first solo release titled “20 Young” sends a message to her fans to live “20 Young” which means to live, young, fearless, and ambitious. Her second release titled “Come Over” was a tribute to Aaliyah’s Original song “Come Over” and shows a more vulnerable side to her music. Her most recent release “2am Rawmix”, Produced by”Rawsmoov” (hence “Rawmix”) ; is a Female Response to Adrian Marcel’s Hit 2am. All of which are songs that Cadence hopes to “simply make people feel good”.
