Amor Kismet is comprised of three sisters, Erika, Crystal, and LJ. The girls won Bill Werde’s (Billboard, Rolling Stone) #FlashUnsigned competition, where he commented, “3 gorgeous sisters sing like angels with ton of personality. Unsigned? Not for long…Thank me from the stage when you win your first Grammy.”
Since then, the industry has taken notice. BET named Amor Kismet as one of the most promising new acts in music and selected them to perform at this year’s BET Experience. Shortly after, the girls made their NYC debut at the legendary SOB’s.
The Love EP marks their first release of recorded music after making their live debuts in LA at the BET Experience and in NYC at SOB’s this summer. The girls will be featured as “Emerging Artists” in Billboard’s Power 100 issue, out on 2/7.
Inspired by artists like Aaliyah, Rihanna, and Sade, their sound combines pop, R&B, soul and dance with world music influences. The girls co-wrote all the tracks on the EP, and also play guitar and congas, which have become a staple at their live shows. “Radar” was co-written with Michael Dean and produced by Bill Zimmerman.
